Job Description:

As a Software Engineer Intern at Deploi, you will play a pivotal role in developing and optimising our backend tech stack, with a focus on data-heavy processes that power our AI-driven background checking platform. Working closely with both the product and data science teams, you will architect and maintain scalable data infrastructure that ensures the efficiency, reliability, and speed of our platform.

You will be instrumental in building the next generation of Deploi’s backend architecture, with a focus on managing large datasets, improving database performance, and supporting the integration of AI solutions into our existing systems. Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems with a focus on data management and storage.
• Build and optimise data pipelines and workflows to support AI-driven background checks.
• Collaborate with data scientists to deploy AI models into production.
• Optimise the performance of the backend systems for high-volume data processing.
• Be able to move quickly, rapidly build prototypes and POCs, and efficiently transition them to the production team for deployment.
• Ensure security, scalability, and efficiency across Deploi’s data infrastructure.
• Participate in code reviews and drive engineering best practices in backend development.

Ideal Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
